Guess the part ...
  -- Monday, May 21, 2007

My wife's car was rattling. Probably the exhaust. As she pulled out of the driveway, she heard the rattling stop. Of course, this was after she heard a CLANK. Then I found this in the roadway. What do you think it is?

If you give up, it's a catalytic converter heat shield. My friend guessed without even seeing it. Awesome.

Dear, Shania
I don't mean
to steel your
boy look but
my mom emptyed
my closet and
gave me my
brothers clothes
but I thought
why not have
fun! so I tried
my best to look
like a boy!
From Diane
ps. my new
name is Dylan!

If you can't see the genius that is this masterpiece, you need to go back to school. This could hang in the Louvre or could have a place of honor next to the Dead See Scrolls. Genius.

The other day went so well, and sparked such great discussion that I whipped out some more flyers and stickers. Enjoy.

DHU does it the best!

3 Band Bills Are The Best

The Swarm, Buried Alive and Bane. 3 bands. A festival of mirth and mosh. What more do you need? Of course, The Swarm didn't make it. Reach The Sky played instead. Then Ian turned the show into a benefit for the Fallen Worcester Firefighters. Lots of raffling and stage diving for a good cause. 1999 was a good year.

The End Of An Era

National Edge Day

Words cannot describe how amazing this show was. Mosh.

Bane, The Sheist ... FULL BLEED!

When Chachi printed up these flyers, he made sure to let me know about Full Bleed. You'll notice no white borders. It's black to the edges. Yeap, full bleed. He was very proud. The show was very long. But dope. Of course, The Sheist didn't play this show. Ah Chachi. Best dude. 1998 stylee.

Before Fests, There were Shows with a Million Bands

Bane Stickers, A Little From Each Era

Enjoy the pics. Let me know if you any more requests for flyer or sticker pics. Peace.

  -- Tuesday, May 01, 2007

Last night, I was feverishly looking for some old stickers. I needed one for comparison. I couldn't find an unstuck sticker, but I did find these.

A Promo For AJ's Zine

A Long, Great Day Which I Missed

Did this show actually happen? It must have been 1998. It's not on my list of shows though. I can't imagine why I would have skipped a Worcester Bane show. I mean, I did see them the next night.

February 21th 1998 @Reflections New Bedford Mass: Get High, Lynchpin, All Chrome, and Bane (Bane's 50 show, and 2 year anniversary)

Unless it was 1999. But I don't know if Fragment was still playing in 1999. My records are pretty shotty for 1999 though. Sucky.

Memories of My Youth

So Much Beef

I had a little trade with Rev the other day. GI Joes for a Warzone on Clear!! Well, not really. More like banner space for shirts. Close enough, though. This In My Eyes sticker came along with the shirts. It was real odd looking. Check my comparison here.

In My Blurry Eyes

The original is metallic bronze, pretty crisp. The one rev sent was mustard yellow and seemed fuzzed out. A little bit of a bummer because I could use more of that "Nothing To Hide" sticker.

Jim C sent me this info regarding that Bane flyer:

this was the 2nd to last e-bar show ever. Booked by Dalbec. as far as the year i'm leaning more towards 98.

Fallen opened up and had their local following there to give them a decent reaction. KYI played next to little to no reaction, no one around worcester really knew of them and it was more a metal tinged show, not a good fit. they covered negative approach and i was one of 2-3 people that was stoked on that. the cave in set was a weirder one, first of all they came out with a trash bag full of bagels (maybe dumpstered) which they tossed out into the crowd. i caught one and ate it. this was the last time i really remember them playing crossbearer before the big style change. not sure of the lineup but i know there were def fill ins. barrit played as a 4 piece with zach playing guitar and singing, for some reason i remember pete going off at this show on stage. bane played last and it was very much a fun set but no memorable stories.

2 days later was the last ebar show which melted into a riot. that was eastcide/god stand still/other ebar local favs. z-crew was def in affect and started said riot.

Talking to Bedard, he still wasn't sure Bane played. But if they did play, this show was probably in 1999 and they probably were demoing It All Comes Down To This tracks.
